Children with Autism have specific learning styles and they may face difficulty in mainstream schools. This class focuses on the student’s strength and provides necessary help in the required areas.
The main focus of The Beri Class is on academics and most of the learning is experiential learning. The concepts are taught by using concrete things as well as the natural environment. Apart from the regular class we have started a ‘school readiness’ programme under The Beri Class for functionally 'more able' children who are ready to go to a mainstream school.
This school readiness programme replicates class room situations through fun activities and also builds on special skills necessary to interact with adults and peers. We have successfully included two children of the school readiness programme to mainstream schools.
